NGC 7293 (or Helix Nebula) is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquarius. Its one of the closest PN to earth (approx. 655 light years away from earth) and similar in appearance to the Cats Eye Nebula or the Ring Nebula. In pop culture this object is sometimes also called "The Eye of God" or "Eye of Sauron".
