NGC 2997 is a beautiful galaxy in the constellation Antlia. This galaxy is a grand design galaxy with a symmetrical, two armed form. The morphological classification is SAB(rs)c, and the disc is inclined at an angle of 40 degree. The core is compact and very bright and contains a circumnuclear ring of super star clusters.
